The Rotaract Club at LRG Government Arts College for Women, Tirupur, is a vital component of the college community, committed to enhancing leadership, community service, and personal growth among students. Affiliated with Rotary International, the club undertakes a range of activities to tackle both local and global issues while encouraging social responsibility and professional development.

The club organizes and participates in various community service initiatives, such as health camps, educational programs, and environmental conservation efforts, to make a positive impact in the local community. Through workshops, seminars, and training sessions, the club helps students develop essential leadership and management skills, preparing them for future professional roles. The club provides students with opportunities to connect with professionals and other Rotaract members, facilitating networking and mentorship.

The Rotaract Club works closely with local Rotary Clubs to coordinate larger-scale projects and participate in joint initiatives, expanding their reach and impact.

Through its diverse activities and projects, the Rotaract Club at LRG Government Arts College for Women, Tirupur, plays a crucial role in enhancing student engagement, promoting civic responsibility, and developing future leaders.

ACTIVITIES AWARENESS SEMINAR  - 2023

An awareness seminar was held on August 8, 2023, titled "Working Against Cancer Using Natural Products." Professor Muhammad Ali Syed from Tabuk University, Saudi Arabia, delivered a lecture at the event. He discussed how advancements in living standards are accompanied by a rise in various diseases, including cancer. Professor Syed highlighted the importance of cancer prevention and proposed the use of natural ingredients from marine sources as a strategy to combat and prevent cancer.

 

AWARENESS SEMINAR - 2022

The Rotary Club and Inner Wheel Club of Avinashi East, in collaboration with the LRG Rotary Club, organized an awareness seminar titled "Forests are the Eyes of the Nation." on 6th October 2022. The event featured a lecture by Rotarian Ravindran Kamatchi, who shared valuable insights on wildlife and conservation. He highlighted the importance of not feeding animals, as it can lead to their dependency on humans for food, and stressed the need to protect trees and respect nature. He also emphasized the protection of endangered species from extinction and urged that animals should not be hunted for human needs.
