Established in the academic year 2005 – 2006, the Computer Science Department has rapidly grown to become one of the premier departments in our college. Since its inception, the department has been dedicated to providing high – quality education and equipping students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the ever – evolving field of Computer Science. Recognizing the increasing demand for computer science education, particularly among young women from rural areas, the government introduced a second shift in the 2007-2008 academic year. This initiative was launched to accommodate more students and provide them with access to state-of-the-art- facilities and resources. The department’s commitment to inclusivity and accessibility has significantly contributed to empowering women in technology. In response to the growing interest and demand for advanced studies in computer science, the government established a postgraduate program in the 2009-2010 academic year. This program aims to provide students with in-depth knowledge and research opportunities, preparing them for leadership roles in academia, industry, and innovation. Furthermore, in 2018, the department launched a comprehensive research program, fostering a culture of inquiry and discovery among students and faculty. This program encourages cutting- edge research and development in various domains of computer science.The Computer Science Department remains committed to fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment. We strive to inspire and nurture the next generation of computer scientists, empowering them to make significant contributions to society and technology.
