The Department of Food Science and Nutrition was established in the academic year 2013-2014. It holds the distinction of being the only government institution in the Tirupur and Coimbatore region off erring a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Nutrition. Our curriculum is meticulously crafted to meet the aspirations of students who aim to work closely with communities, promoting health and wellness. The department is proud of its state-of-the-art facilities, which include two specialized laboratories. Our department is committed to the holistic development of students, ensuring they acquire both academic knowledge and practical skills. We provide numerous opportunities for students to organize and participate in awareness programs, both within the institution and in the broader community. These activities enhance leadership, community engagement, and a practical understanding of their field.
