The Department of Physics CA is offering three years B.Sc. Physics with Computer Applications (B.Sc. Physics CA) programme. This course is initiated at Department of Physics from the academic year 2003 and become a full-fledged Physics CA department from the year 2011 onwards. (G.O. Ms. No. 419/ Edn. Dt. 21.12.2009). The B.Sc. Physics CA programme curriculum is designed in such a way that it caters to the science aspirants who is passionate in core physics subjects with special interest in computer applications. So, this programme is providing better employability and desirable career opportunities due to its perfect blend of Physics and Computer subjects. This is a unique course available only at L.R.G. The Department of Physics CA has a well-equipped laboratory and trained faculty members. The students will acquire the up-to-date knowledge of physics with computational skills like Numerical methods, C and C++ programming, MATLAB, and nano science and technology. Every year, B.Sc. Physics CA students are receiving University Ranks since the inception of the programme.

The College have a large percentage of ‘First Generation Learners’. Given the difference between the socio-economic background of the learners and the white-collar culture of the work place, it becomes incumbent on the young graduate to acquire modes of various technical and soft skills capabilities. As an initiate of the Government of TamilNadu, various specialised courses under “NAAN MUDHALVAN” Scheme are conducted for the students, in collaboration with industrial partners and expert faculty. These courses are fine-tune and sharpen their skills, so that they can meet the challenges of securing employment and achieve successful career.
