NSS is an idealistic and valuable extension activity exclusively meant for the Student Community, apart from their regular academic activities. It inculcates the positive spirit of voluntary service in the young minds of the students as well as the staff. Of all the extra -curricular activities, NSS stands distinctive, as the activity has the unifying power to make the Institution closer to the Society.
The foremost objective of the NSS scheme is to provide a Service-Oriented ambiance to the students of Higher Education by exposing them towards the Community Service of the needy place, even while the students are in the learning process.
The NSS Wing of LRG has ever been active and energetic from the beginning. The focus is more on the upliftment of the underpriviledged people of the society. The NSS Volunteers of the College tend to promote the developmental service through various activities such as arranging awareness campaigns, rallies, meetings, talk-shows, plantation of trees, maintenance of cleanliness all over the campus and outside too

An Awareness Rally on the World Population Day
A Two-Day Seminar was conducted in the College, in association with the Lotus Eye hospital
A Free Health Check-up Camp in the College premises, meant for the women above 30, for the Pap smear Test and Mammogram test, as a part of the Cancer Awareness Programme of the Oncology Department of Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, Coimbatore. The teaching and the non-teaching staff were the beneficiary.
AIDS Awareness programme for the public
The Promotion of “Swachh Bharath and Swash Bharath” campaign of the Prime Minister was carried out by the NSS Volunteers through a week’s severe campaign in the Campus.
Making the Campus more Eco-friendly – The Planting of around 25 saplings in the College Premises, and watering them every day
An Awareness Rally meant for the public for the necessity of maintaining wash rooms at every home so as to make the environment clean and disease-free.
